Responsive Web Design & WordPress Build
with Custom Coded Header/Footer Wrapper

Project Overview

This website was built for a client in the industrial plant parts trading business with an international reach. They came with an outdated brand and .net inventory framework and requested a refreshed website that would be able to work in conjunction with a new inventory management system that is currently in production.

The client's needs for the website included:

  • New mobile friendly website design in line with their new brand
  • Lead capture forms that feed into their new HubSpot CRM marketing software
  • A Custom HTML/CSS made wrapper for their .net site to match the look of the new site during transition
  • Designs for a client-facing inventory and quote request system

I took lead on this project to create elements for the UI, mid and hi-fidelity mock-ups, WordPress development, and development of the custom wrapper for the .net site.

Tools Used:

- WPEngine Managed WordPress

- Affinity Designer

- Adobe Photoshop

- Adobe Illustrator

- Elementor Builder (WordPress)

- Sublime Text (word editor for HTML/CSS)

- Bootstrap 3 Framework

Site Design

With the brand guidelines set in place by another team, I created looks for the UI based on the client's request of "industrial, clean, professional, yet, blue collar". In addition to the strong navy and sky blue, a variety of grays was used to mimic a metallic color throughout the site. Image overlays of a brushed steel texture was also used as backgrounds to sections and cards.

Custom Header/Footer Wrapper

As of January 2022, this website is still under construction. Phase 2 of this site will consist of creating a client-facing inventory system that a user can use to search, sort, and filter through IPP extensive global inventory of process plant equipment. This effort will be a collaboration of a third-party development firm who will be creating the back-end inventory system for IPP.

As a placeholder for the new inventory system, we created a custom HTML wrapper to go above the current IPP site to match the look of that site to the new with minimal editing. Using HTML, CSS, and Boothstrap 3 syntax (Bootstrap 3 is what the old IPP site was built with).
